These two films will be introduced by our guest host, Ian Taylor.

Having written a number of minor short stories, he started editing music fanzines in his 20s & later spent decades in amateur theatre as an actor, director and official adjudicator for the Greater Manchester Drama Federation.

However, in his 40s he found his real home though, as part of the editorial team of We Belong Dead and as a writer for that magazine and associated books, but also Hemlock’s Fantastic Fifties, Cinema of the ‘70s/’80s, a one-off special of Dez Skinn’s House of Hammer/Halls of Horror and (available on high street shelves) The Dark Side.

His book ‘All Sorts of Things Might Happen: The Films of Jenny Agutter’ was published in 2021.

More recently, Ian has found himself writing numerous further short stories and he not only writes for the BHF Books of Horror Stories but recently became co-editor of the series with his friend and fellow scribe Andrew Llewellyn. The pair have also released a collaborative collection of horror fiction entitled ‘Spoken in Whispers’.

On his quiet days Ian also presents community music shows for Radio M29 and enjoys a pint or two.
