Director Jessica Palud Cast Niels Schneider, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Roman Coustère Hachez
Genre Drama Duration 1 hour 17 minutes IMDB rating  6.1 A Frenchman in his early thirties (Niels Schneider) returns to the farm of his childhood in this rural family drama, a suitably down-to-earth adaptation of a novel by Serge Joncour. Schneider’s character Thomas had left a dozen or so years earlier to work in a restaurant in Montréal.
When he arrives back, all the cows of his childhood are gone. In their place, he sees the cute Alex (Roman Coustere Hachez), his six-year-old nephew whom he has never met before.
Mona (Adèle Exarchopoulos), Alex’s mom, also doesn’t immediately recognise the man with the curly blond hair, though he is the older brother of Mathieu, Alex’s late father and Mona’s late boyfriend. Set in the visually appealing Drome region in south-eastern France over an oppressive and intense summer.
